Past thirty days the daily rate drops sharply. Insurance, servicing, tyres and roadside assistance stay included, and the car is still delivered to the arrivals hall when you land.

Who takes a car for a season

Northern Europeans who spend the winter on the coast, mostly. October to March, a flat in Fuengirola or Marbella, and a car for the whole stay. Buying means Spanish paperwork, an ITV test and a resale in spring. Renting for the season skips all three.

The rest are people relocating who need something to drive while the residency paperwork moves, and film or events crews who need a V-Class for six weeks.

How the price is built

Monthly rates are quoted per car and per month, because a MINI in February and a Range Rover in July are different businesses. Tell us the car, the start date and the number of months and you get one figure with everything in it.

Mileage allowance is agreed up front for long rentals rather than left open. Servicing during the rental is ours to arrange, including the courtesy car while it happens.

Winter dates are worth asking about early. The cheaper half of the fleet books out from November.
